How do you use these new glue products? Evenly spread a thin layer of Free Seal blade varnish on the wood. The application works best if you are slightly squeezing the bottle with two fingers while pressing it against the blade. Let the blade varnish dry. After approximately fifteen minutes, you can apply a second layer. Two to three thin layers are sufficient to fully protect your blade. After you apply the last layer, let the blade dry for twelve hours before attaching the rubber. To attach the rubber, shake the Free Glue bottle well before use. Apply Free Glue to the sponge and to the blade by lightly pressing the applicator against the sponge or wood surface. Apply evenly. Do not apply too much. It is important that you let the glue dry. This takes ten to fifteen minutes. When you apply the glue, it has a milky-white color. When it is dry, it is transparent. (Heat will speed the drying.) Roll the rubber onto the blade, and cut it to the right size. Important: After use, you must wash out the sponge applicator with water, dry it, and close the lid. Otherwise, the sponge applicator might degrade. Always keep the bottle tightly closed. Protect the glue from cold.
