Suggested RacketsThe main considerations when selecting a racket are price, grip style (shakehand vs. penhold), handle style, and speed. If you aren’t sure what racket to buy, below are our suggestions. If you need more specific advice or have any questions, please ask Sean O’Neill, our resident pro. In most of the price ranges, we suggest both an all-round and an offensive racket, with the offensive racket being faster than the all-round. Note that for manufacturer-assembled rackets, generally the more you pay, the faster/spinnier the racket is, so that the suggested offensive racket under $20 is slower than the suggested all-round racket in the $20–$40 range, etc. Below $70, our suggestions are manufacturer-assembled rackets. Above $70, they are blade/rubber combos. Under $20All-round: Killerspin Centric Racket (FL) Offensive: DHS 2002 2* Racket (FL)
