Product Description

Butterfly introduces Solcion, a new softer sponge addition to their High Tension line of table tennis rubber sheets. Solcion offers great speed and spin and excellent glue sound, all in a more controllable high-tech rubber. Solcion’s softer High Tension sponge holds the ball on the racket a little longer, giving you more control over both your own returns and your opponent’s as well.

To produce powerful drives and smashes, you should use a hard sponge and make the ball dig into the rubber. However, when you use a rubber with a hard sponge, it is hard to make the ball dig into the rubber, thus the direction of the ball becomes unstable and it is hard to control the ball.

To improve control, you should use rubber with a softer sponge, e.g., Solcion. This way, when the ball makes contact, it digs into the rubber, making it easier for you to control the ball.
