Quick Tips Jackie Lee 9/15/2004- Aside from practicing table tennis, it’s important to supplement this with physical training. For example, if a person is particularly slow on their feet, he/she should run twice a week in order to improve their speed. Also, physical training strengthens weak joints and muscles, therefore preventing injuries from occurring.
- Although most people overlook this small step, stretching should be done before and after practice. Not only does this prevent injury, but also increases flexibility. This flexibility becomes important when needed to adjust to a particular style during a match.
- A lot of people love to share information about their knowledge of the intricacies of table tennis. One should learn to filter the advantages and disadvantages of this information. However, I am not saying that people are giving wrong or bad advice. For example, ten people can teach a forehand ten different ways, but there will only be one forehand that works for you.
