Keeping Focus throughout the Game

There are many players who start off with a large 2–0 or 3–0 lead, but then lose 3 or 4 games in a row. This is mainly because they lose their focus once they are ahead. In a match, you must play every point like it is deuce in the fifth, and play every point seriously from start to finish. Once you are ahead, do not relax and get lulled into a false sense of security. Once you do relax, your opponent can come back with more determination and overwhelm you. Do not think “Oh, I only need two more points to win”, but think instead “I need to keep fighting to win this game”.
