Table Tennis Strengths

In table tennis you need three things to be good. Physical strength, to keep on going game after game or match after match; technical strength, to be able to place the shot where you want it to go; and mental strength, to be able to sustain your self confidence and to keep on fighting. Lacking one of them can seriously hurt your game and stunt your game’s growth. Although both technical and physical strength are the fundamentals for the sport having mental strength means you can keep on fighting no matter what. If you lack mental strength, then you will not fight hard or play your best. One way to develop mental strength is to play the style of the people you are most “afraid” of playing or do not like to play. For example, you are not good at playing people rated lower than you are and play those low rated events that most people stay away from. That way you gain more experience playing them and will be more comfortable playing them next time.
