Todd Gregory ProfileTodd started playing table tennis when he was eight years old, mostly just playing in the basement with his father Wade and his brother Mark. Todd won the "C" division doubles in his first tournament and has stuck with it ever since. He now practices four to five times a week for around two hours each practice session. He is an offensive player who is a very quick counter hitter and a strong looper. Todd lives in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. His primary goal is to make the Canadian Men’s National Team someday. He is working very hard to achieve this and is continuing to move up the ladder towards his goal. Todd says, “My greatest achievement would have to be making the Canadian team that went to the World University Championships in Thailand (Universiade). I made it to the round of 64 at the tournament, but my real achievement was making the Canadian team and getting to play some of the best players in the world. Also, one of the defining moments in my table tennis career was winning the Men’s Open division of the Atlantics Tournament in Charlottetown when I was 17. It really made me start taking table tennis more seriously and had a huge impact on my game today.” [Who We Are. Equipment Top Players Use. Playing Tips.] |
