Blade/Rubber-Combo InformationA blade/rubber combo is where we sell a blade with various choices of rubber at a savings from the individual prices. PricesGenerally, our blade/rubber combo prices are significantly less than our price for the blade and rubber separately. However, if you choose inexpensive rubber to go with your blade, the price for the separate items may actually be less than the combo price. If this happens, our website will charge you the separate (lower) price. So, you can purchase one of our combos and be confident that you will always get the very best deal! TypesWe offer three types of combos: - Mix and Match. You can choose any rubber from among the following brands: andro, Avalox/AVX, BANDA, DHS, Double Fish, Haifu, Killerspin, and STIGA. There is a surcharge for some rubber sheets.
- Same Brand. You can choose any rubber from the same brand as the blade. There is a surcharge for some rubber sheets.
- Simple. The rubber is specified as part of the combo. For some combos, you can choose the color and thickness.
For most combos, you can select the blade’s handle style, but for some combos, the handle style is fixed. Most combos come with two sheets of rubber, but some combos (for some penhold blades) come with only one sheet. If the combo comes with only one sheet of rubber, we call the combo a penhold combo and the combo includes a penhold backside color sheet. Note that we do have many combos for penhold blades that include two sheets of rubber. For all combos, the two sheets of rubber (or one sheet of rubber and a penhold backside color sheet) must be different colors. Some combos include a racket case. Rubber SurchargeFor the following rubber sheets, there is an additional charge if you select one as part of a mix and match combo or same brand combo. The additional charge is per sheet. How to BuyTo buy a combo, go to the blade’s product page. If the blade is available as a combo, you will see this fact noted on the page and there will be a button that you can click to add the combo to your cart. For a list of all our combos, click the “Blade/Rubber Combos” link that is at the top-left of every page. The list includes links to each blade’s product page where you can purchase the combo. The Blade Comparison Chart also shows whether a blade is available as part of a combo. Racket AssemblyWhen you check out, you will be able to choose whether we should assemble your racket or you want to do it yourself. [Up: Blade/Rubber Combos.] |
